Description

Nestled in Seaside, this family-run Lebanese spot serves standout Mediterranean dishes—house-made hummus, roasted cauliflower, dolmas, lamb shawarma and generous shareable platters—celebrated for bold, balanced flavors and plentiful vegetarian and vegan options. Warm, hands-on service from the owner and staff creates a homey, casual vibe, though occasional staffing shortages and bursts of noisy tension have been reported. Overall, it’s a coastal gem worth seeking out for authentic, lovingly prepared food.

I had never experienced Lebanese cuisine before, and it was definitely worth it! The food was delicious! Our server was fantastic and extremely helpful with all our questions. I highly recommend this place. It was a bit more than what we usually spend on a meal, but I would definitely return for a special occasion.

The food was incredibly flavorful. My wife and I really enjoyed our experience. The waitress, who was related to the owner, helped us choose several dishes when we asked for the more authentic options. Everything we tried was excellent.

Today my wife and I were visiting Seaside from Vancouver, Wa. Just before One o 'clock, we decided to get lunch. We had thought to go to Tora Sushi Lounge, but they are closed on Monday, so I suggested the little Lebanese place we had passed on the way up, as Mediterranean food is a favorite of ours, and I thought it an acceptable alternative. Mc Bani is much more than acceptable. It is the best Mediterranean cuisine I have ever tasted, by such a margin as to make me sad for the local fare at home. The smell when we first walked in promised that would soon be glad our first option had fallen through, and the menu immediately echoed that promise. Our server was friendly and helpful, and the atmosphere was pleasantly simple and casual. The owner came to take our order himself, and I could sense his honest, earnest desire to share the fruits of his labors with us. My wife and I each ordered a platter; she ordered the falafel with hummus, and I ordered the lamb with baba ganoush. I ordered a Lebanese coffee for after the meal. Every single element of our meal was handmade except the pita bread, as the owner explained) and absolutely exemplary. My wife and I made sure to sample each other 's plates. Baba ganoush is one of my favorite dishes, and today I had to adjust my grading scale. The hummus blew us both out of the water- it has to be the best I 've ever tasted. My lamb was... there are no words. It was incredible. I almost cried. The tzatziki melted into the subtle marinated spices of the lamb and fragrant rice. Even the house salad was beyond my expectations in every sense. The owner went above and beyond with his service, and made us feel more like close friends or family than customers. He brought us extra hummus for my wife; he said, with the falafel, it is amazing, as he set it down with a smile. He was absolutely correct, of course. He brought out two cups for the coffee, even though I was the only one who had ordered it, so my wife and I could share the pot. It was fantastic! We split a handmade baklava to accompany the coffee, and the first taste of honey and nuts almost sent me into tears again. The perfect way to end a meal. The only thing wrong with the entire experience was having to end it. I have already contacted several friends and family members to tell them we will be taking them here. We live a little less than two hours away. It will be worth every mile, every time. Thank you for having us, and we can 't wait to come back.
