Betty Nick's Bait Tackle - Seaside Park

1) The aesthetics of this place are not up to par. The cleanliness leaves much to be desired as the mop water is not changed frequently, making me feel sticky like a fly trapped on flypaper. 2) The service was lacking. The waitress only came to our table three times and never asked if we needed anything. When I requested a refill on my coffee, she appeared annoyed. I simply wanted a fresh cup, but unfortunately did not receive one. 3) The food was simply terrible. The coffee was bitter, the home fries were undercooked and overly greasy, and the toast was drenched in butter. The portion sizes were large but poorly prepared. 4) The prices were not reflective of the quality of food and service. With a small tip, the bill came to $30 for a disappointing breakfast for two people. I believe that there are better dining options available at the same price point with superior quality. In conclusion, I would not recommend this restaurant based on my experience.

If I could give zero stars I would. If your anything other then white this place will literally ignore you. I waited patiently in line as they were busy. Three people came in behind me and they were seated right away and I was over looked. Then another person came and and they were tended to right away. I then just simple said I’m just trying to order to go. With eye rolls and attitude I was told that I had to wait because they were busy. I was then bump and shoved and asked to move because I was in the way. I left and sent my white husband in and they immediately took his order. Incredible how it’s the year 2021 and we’re still living in a world where your judged because color of your skin.

I received great recommendations and found high-quality products at the bait shop. However, I have not yet tried the food at this restaurant.

The food was fine. However, the owner? Was yelling at the waitress and getting hostile and nasty in front of customers. I was so uncomfortable for the entire encounter. It was so unprofessional and unnecessary. Then one of the cashier waitresses went and finished the sandwiches after touching things outside and not once washed her hands. When you’re in an open kitchen especially, you should be making a point to follow simple health code standards. Definitely will not be back.

Detailed and limited menu. Small and not well-maintained. Appears to be struggling and on the verge of closing down. Limited bait options. Empty shelves and rarely open. Reviews are outdated. Quality was better 5-6 years ago. Owner is rude and disrespectful towards customers. Lack of care for customer satisfaction. Negative attitude reflects in their business. Other companies have more positive reviews. Owner does not handle criticism well. Will not return. Find another place for bait.
