Large portions, fresh ingredients, and tasty food. A great place to grab a quick and healthy lunch. The 17 Ave location has a trendy and bright seating area, with a booth in the front window.I've had the poke bowls here, but yet have to try the sushi burritos though I'm sure they're just as delicious. What Jayde Le doesn't like about Po-ke 17th Ave:
Do not eat here. Food is terrible, they use canned corn, canned mandarin oranges, the kale put on mine was filled with black spots, over all the food tasted old and soggy (rice was nasty). Poke bowls are supposed to be a fresh tasting dish but everything, including the salmon, tasted stale. View all feedback.
Great food, quite in the day. Great place to visit.
LOVED IT! I recommend the make your own poke bowl! I had about 3 dozen ingredients in mine. It was amazing. The employee building mine was so great too! When I described wanting lots of or just a little of , she understood and obliged. how much seafood salad do you want? how much can you fit? *gestures with massive scoop*
I was there the day the prices went up and it hadn't changed on the menu on the walls yet but they still charged me the new, more expensive, price. I already thought it was quite expensive, but with the changes, I don't think it's worth the price anymore! If you go down to Urban Fare, the poke there tastes just as fresh and good and it's more reasonably priced!*EDIT: Just to respond to the Management team, it was probably around last summer when I last went, I've been meaning to write a review for quite some time. I was getting a small bowl from Po-ke at least once a week from your 17th Ave location since they're opened, but when the prices went up by a few dollars, I couldn't justify the price anymore. For the same amount at Urban Fare, I paid half the price and it was just as good.
I would give this place 5/5 stars, HOWEVER since it's opened, they have not only changed their prices (UP) but have also reduced sizes. I know this because I work nearby and practically purchased once a week since they've been open. The food is good! BUT I wouldn't say it's $17 a Poke bowl good. Poke around the city with the same quality for $12-$15 (AND LARGE SIZES) compared to this one, I would rather order on skip since it's cheaper than this place. It was decent upon opening, and I would have continued to spend my money here if they didn't decide to up charge and reduce the amount you get.
Zoey is my favorite! She's super friendly and gives great recommendations! Sushi bowls are good too! Recommendation: add kale as a base :
