I had an absolutely amazing experience at Jankee Taqueria! This was my first visit and I randomly selected it from a list of Mexican restaurants. I couldn't decide on just one dish, so I tried a few things like chorizo con huevos, rajas milanesa de res, and more. What Jessica Nolan doesn't like about Yankee Lunch:
As another reviewer mentioned, I decided to give this restaurant a try due to its high ratings - it had 4.8 stars at the time of my visit. The portion sizes were large and the service was satisfactory. My son enjoyed his chicken quesadilla, and we all enjoyed the rice and beans. The tacos de lengua were incredibly generous - I could only finish two of them! My husband's chilaquiles were outstanding, even though I usually don't like red chile. They were delicious and had just the right amount of spice, so be prepared. What I really appreciated about the red chile was that it tasted homemade, with love and hard work put into it. The burrito de chorizo was huge! My son loved it, and it looked really good, but I couldn't try it myself as I don't eat pork. We also ordered sopes, but didn't take pictures because my daughter wanted them very plain - just meat, beans, and cheese. The only downside was that they used Parmesan cheese, but aside from that, all the meat in our dishes was fresh. In some places, you can tell they use old meat by the taste, but not at this restaurant! We also ordered smoothies - the milk smoothies were a bit too thick for my taste, but the one I ordered with water was very smooth. Overall, I can't wait to come back and try more of their dishes. The staff were friendly and made us feel right at home.
I have been eating here since I can remember. The owner may have changed, but the recipe remains the same. It's the best.

The portions were generous and the food was delicious with quality and taste that was out of this world. I will definitely be returning as this is now my favorite Mexican restaurant in Pennsylvania.
I wish we lived closer so we could eat at the restaurant more often. The Gravy Fries were our favorite dish.

However, the green sauce on the enchiladas was too spicy for my husband and me, and the overall appearance of the restaurant was quite run-down. It's definitely a hidden gem with affordable prices. I would recommend it for takeout, just be cautious of ordering anything with sauce if you don't like spicy food.
