Wow! What a delicious experience. The onion soup was great, the Coq au Vin was spectacular and the scallops were just perfect. If you come, you must also get a page of Fritten... We couldn't find out what they did to them, crispy and just perfect. The garlic sauce was an explosion of aromas on a perfect level and the bread had only the crumbs of a perfectly baked bread. We go with a box of Macaroons and a small bottl... View all feedback.
The food was exceptional!!!! The atmosphere was wonderful!!! Will definitely go here again. I had the Trout Almondine. So delicious.
Wanted something different, and I wanted to forego any trendy, short-lived restaurants. I found this quaint spot because it took over a space that used to be our favorite cafe when we lived in the area long before kids. I googled to see what had taken it over and found amazing reviews that made my mouth water! It's a small french bistro that's only open five nights a week for a few hours. Family owned and operated by a lovely french couple. Chef Jean-Christophe worked in Michelin star restaurants for years in France. His wife, Segolene, is a lovely woman who made great suggestions and served all the beautiful dishes.I started with a french martini and my husband with his go-to lemon drop. Our hors d'oeuvres was smoked salmon and capers on toast. For my entree I chose The scallops on a bed of spinach, topped with a puff pastry, and served with a shallot sauce. Rich, creamy and wonderful. My husband chose the rack of lamb with potatoes au gratin. It was served in a beautiful flaming presentation. For dessert we sipped cappuccinos while enjoying our lemon meringue and chocolate tarts. We were the youngest couple by 30 years. It was quiet and lovely listening to other patrons talk with Segolene about their families coming from France or their past European trips.
Had la bouillabaisse special. Obvious that each element had been carefully cooked as each was excellent. Mussels, scallops, shrimp, salmon, fish. Broth was stellar. Service friendly and knowledgeable.
My wife and I recently had an evening dinner at Voila when they had the La Bouillabaisse dinner special. I had the La Bouillabaisse and my wife had scallops in puff pastry. Simply put, the La Bouillabaisse was the best I ever had. The broth was exceptional, as was the preparation of the three fish types and three shellfish types in the dish. My wife found the scallops in puff pastry ecellent. The service was, as always, excellent. Voila is an outstanding French Bistro.
We always enjoy our meals at Voila. Everything is fantastic, except for the room temperature. It might be helpful if the building owner could consider installing wall air conditioning to help cool it down.
