Quiet, empty, somewhat clean. The rest of my party really liked the food, but I wasn't impressed. Nothing stood out. The customer service was bad. I had to wave the server over, too much wait time between drink refills. I asked about an item on the menu, and the response was that they weren't sure. What Breanna VanDenBerg doesn't like about Simply Thai Kitchen:
The staff was friendly, however they were distracted because they were taking care of a baby. The food was okay, I’ve definitely had better in Phoenix. Like other reviewers, I found the spice level to be higher than usual. Overall I would not recommend this place. View all feedback.
Oooh whee this was the bees knees and scratched a Thailand-shaped itch I didnt even know I had. The yellow curry offers a bold yet welcoming flavor and the green curry kicks with an unexpected fervor. Chicken spring rolls big big yummy yummy.
Amazing food! Fresh and so tasty. I wish they were open more on the app!
We tried the Panang Curry choose beef and added cabbage, Pumpkin Curry added more pumpkin, Chicken Spring Rolls were gooey rolls were mostly whitish in color could have used a bit longer in the fryer, sticky rice was good, Tom yum we choose veggies to add in. All in all, the Chicken Laab needed shallots, roasted rice, lime, and fish sauce to make it more Thai flavored. The Chicken Spring Rolls didnt come with any rice noodles, or cold veggies like Romain lettuce, cucumber to make a roll, and the dipping sauce tasted like some other dipping sauce. Not the traditional kind of spring roll sauce, it was missing the fish sauce, lime, sugar, and vinegar flavors. Sticky rice is a very small serving, so order 3 additional if its for two people who like sticky rice. Pumpkin Curry was a new one for us, thought it was decent, good mild heat.
The pad Thai was ok, the Thai Simply Thai Dumplings were really good but the Drunken Noodles (Kimao) were not our fav. Weve had better Thai food in general elsewhere.
Very tasty! Loved the pumpkin curry with chicken and added bok Choy! Perfect spice level on everything ordered mild/slightly spicy. The brown sticky rice is pretty special, as well; so glad we subbed out the jasmine. Loved the flavor on the drunken noodles; sauce flavorful but not oily and noodles were cooked perfectly. The beef nam Tom had good flavor, slightly chewy but refreshing and perfectly acidic (we should e ordered spicier). Loved the pork skewers/moo ping and som tum was tasty and again, refreshing! Didnt love the crispy wings, but thats just a flavor/texture preference. Im very picky about Thai and this was wonderful. Its definitely reflective of the name: everything was simply perfectly made.
