Contribute Feedback What Michael S likes about Blu Sushi:
We stopped at AJ's supermarket and noticed Blu Sushi. Looked it up, nice reviews so we stopped in. Loved it. Everything was really fresh and well presented. I only have two nits. The sake list is minimalist at best, clearly it's not their focus. And the Fire Roll, I swear you can taste the fuel they use for the fire. Kinda like too much liquid starter on charcoal briquettes that you can taste the fuel component. This... View all feedback.
What Robert D doesn't like about Blu Sushi:
Heard nothing but good things about this place, sad to say they were completely inaccurate. Waitress acted like we were an inconvenience to her. 5 tables were completely filthy and had not been bussed, and stayed that way while we walked out an hour later after not receiving any food other than some second hand egg rolls that were made by mistake and pawned off on us as a poor attempt to make up for the fact that we... Heard nothing but good things about this place, sad to say they were completely inaccurate. Waitress acted like we were an inconvenience to her. 5 tables were completely filthy and had not been bussed, and stayed that way while we walked out an hour later after not receiving any food other than some second hand egg rolls that were made by mistake and pawned off on us as a poor attempt to make up for the fact that we only ordered 2 rolls and a single order of Nigiri and waited in excess of an hour and never received it. I can't tell you if the food was good or not, but judging from the filth, I'm glad I didn't get it. I can tell you we will never go back and that we left hungry. It was not busy, we showed up at 6:40 and left hungry and upset at 8:00pm. Don't waste your time.
Yummy noodle soup. Very authentic ingredients and best of all DOG FRIENDLY!
I have never been more impressed w a sushi menu in my life! So many options. I ordered the Arizona Roll bc it was medium spicy and loved it. My friend had Crazy Tempura (in picture) and it was delicious too. I look forward to returning!
The best sushi in the valley. A true mom and pop restaurant. My husband spends a lot of time in Japan getting to eat the best sushi in the world and has a picky palette. He and I both love the sushi here. The owners are incredibly sweet sit at the bar so you can talk to them!
I hadn't seen Richard in two years, and he still remembered us! I loved Blu Sushi when he was in Surprise, so I made the trip to Scottsdale today. We started with soft shell crab and sunomono salad for appetizers, both of which were delicious. For our main course, we enjoyed halibut, octopus, toro, mackerel, and unagi nigiri. Everything was top quality and very flavorful. It was nice to chat with Richard when things quieted down. It's a 37-mile drive for us, but totally worth it. We will definitely be back!
