Ajo Al's is our top choice for Mexican food. My husband always orders the Machaca chimi with brown sauce, while I usually go for the flute, fajitas, or enchiladas. Everything we've tried has been delicious! We've been loyal customers of Ajo Al's for over 12 years, and it never fails to impress. The service is also excellent! View all feedback.
What Ashley Hettinger doesn't like about Ajo Al's Mexican Cafe:
First visit to this location, was close by and thought I'd give it a try for Happy Hour. Good deals, see menu. Chips and Salsa are good. Chili con Queso was very watery and filled with too many red bell peppers (A disappointment side the Queso was the best at the Shea location). The mini Chicken Chimichangas were terribly greasy. Service was good and the place was fairly busy, especially the Outdoor Patio was full. T... View all feedback.
Good service, salsa, and meal fixed just the way I like it.
Our server Tatum was upbeat, knowledgeable and helpful. The person who served our chips salsa was friendly and welcoming. My husband and I both had Nachos. Both were delicious. I’m vegetarian so I asked to substitute beans for the meat. There was an extra charge for the beans. Humm, that was a first. But we still love and enjoy Ajo Al’s. Vegetarian options: Spinach, mushroom and cheese enchiladas available. Also quesadillas, and Nachos w/o meat, and more.
We really like the excellent food and that it is predictable each time we visit. Lots of chips and salsa, great service and inviting atmosphere. Ajo Al's is a good reason to go out to eat!
We love that when we come to Ajo Al’s everything will be the same as last time – the food will be delicious, the drinks will be fabulous, and the service will be friendly and very attentive. We typically come for dinner, but this was a stop for lunch and our expectations were 100% met. As for improvements, I have no comment. Why mess with a great thing??
Good food and good atmosphere. I had the carne asada burro bowl. The carne asada was good but it had guac in the burrito. I'm not a huge guac fan and this guacamole just wasn't great either. Notwithstanding, I'd still order again (hold the guac). Our table had a fried ice cream to celebrate a birthday. It was great but the fruit tasted like it came out of a can. We went on a busy night but didn't have to wait longer than 15 minutes. They get you in and out quickly. The server was very helpful and pleasant.
