Shari's Cafe And Pies - Scottsbluff
Shari's Cafe And Pies
Description
Shari’s offers a homestyle dining experience with consistently fresh, tasty food and standout made-from-scratch pies. The atmosphere is welcoming and family-friendly, featuring accommodating staff who often treat guests like family. While many servers excel in attentiveness and warmth, service quality can be inconsistent, with some guests reporting inattentive or rude behavior. Menu highlights like all-you-can-eat ribs and kid-friendly portions are popular, though occasional kitchen mishaps and poor allergy considerations have been noted. Clean facilities and reasonable prices add to the overall appeal. Despite some uneven service, many patrons continue to return for the comforting food and inviting environment.

It's clear that the quality of food and service fluctuates depending on the day. We dined there on Friday, and the grilled salmon was quite good, accompanied by a baked potato and pickled slaw. Since we were in the area for appointments, we decided to try it again yesterday, Tuesday. We ordered the same meal, but it was evident that the cook was different. Our server was unresponsive and even walked away when I asked for a coffee refill, despite there being only one other customer in the restaurant. It was difficult to get her attention, unlike on Friday when our server was very attentive. We tipped the Friday server 40% due to his excellent service, but on Tuesday, we reluctantly left only 15%. I always make it a point to tip something. I initially thought this was a local restaurant, but I've come to realize it's part of a chain. I'll be in the area for several weeks and will seek out other dining options. I won't be returning to this place, as the experience was unpleasant and not worth the hassle or the poor food. I also found out that the cook was new.
The staff were incredibly friendly and treated everyone like family. Our server was particularly warm and provided excellent service! We visited for dinner on Sunday, May 7th, and had a wonderful waitress with an adorable hairstyle. I can’t recall her name, but I truly wish I could because she deserves a raise for the care she showed to everyone! We will definitely be returning!
I ate here recently. Some of the food-specifically the fries-were undercooked and tasted like something you could get from the frozen section at Walmart. I would say that the broccoli I ate was from the frozen section too. $15 for a frozen lunch that I could have gotten for way cheaper! The cook did not seem to care about preparing the food properly and would get impatient with the waitress. The restaurant is understaffed, which caused the service to be very slow. The only reason I would go back again is for the pies!
We went to Shari's because it had a halfway decent rating according to my nephew. I don't know who was rating this or where those people are from, but I feel bad for them if Shari's marked high on their scale of edible food. I'm 60 years old and I consider this probably the worst place I've ever eaten in my entire life and I'm a foodie.
Food is always good. Service was a little slow but we didn't hold it against them.Shari's is always a good place to eat and the staff is always helpful and kind. Kid-friendliness: Meals are always portioned well for children, fairly priced and they get crayons and a color sheet to pass the time. Parking: 30+ Wheelchair accessibility: Wide entrance, nice and open.
