I had a delightful lunch at this restaurant. The staff were very friendly, from the moment I made the booking to when I left. The food was delicious, especially the chicken, gammon, and creamy leek pie. View all feedback.
What zostar doesn't like about The Woll:
Difficult to find somewhere to get lunchtime food and drink early in the week in this area so found ourselves at this golf club. Our group of 5 enjoyed the Sunday roast and Sausage Mash with caramelised onion at this restaurant. Both dishes were excellent, and the gravy was also great.
I recently had a delightful Sunday lunch at The Woll with my extended family, courtesy of my in-laws. This restaurant has always been a favorite among Borderers, and I have been fortunate enough to dine here for special occasions like golf days and weddings. For my meal, I started with the Soup of the Day (Tomato), which was tasty, although I wished there was more Crusty Bread served with it. The hearty soup was easy to finish. For my main course, I couldn't resist ordering the Woll Burger, which did not disappoint. The portion size was generous, and I felt satisfied at the end of the meal. Although the burger was slightly overdone, I still enjoyed it. The staff were fantastic, especially with accommodating the kids in our group. I cannot speak to the prices, but overall, it was a pleasant dining experience in Ashkirk.

This is a large but pleasant enough room with good distance between the tables, a popular hang out for ladies who lunch judging by the clientele when we were there. The main meals on offer looked good, I just had a starter of fish cakes, companion had platter of charcuterie, which should have come with salad but didn’t. He would have liked some bread as an accompaniment but overall it was ok.
We had a lovely lunch here, plenty of parking outside, toilets were clean, as was our table. The lady serving us was great and the food was good. Nice place to stop for lunch, I'd definitely reccomend. Thank you
