We went for afternoon tea as part of a birthday. It was awful. Service was slow, staff too busy getting ready for another function. 1 hour to get our service and still had to ask where it was. Was answered it was being dealt with. Artisan sandwiches, dreadful, more like sliced bread that had been sitting out too long, edges curled up. We paid £76.00. What a rip off. Finally, a Scottish border hotel has become a luxury destination in which mut and finance have become a tired unit. the external fabric has been repaired and restored. the interiors were renovated to five star standards. her spa with swimming outside the heated pool opens later this year. the golf looks good and eating is also excellent without Michelin star. our own Bavarian castle with Scottish accents is worth it definitiw.
Had afternoon tea with family. delicious food. many beautiful hearty delicious and sandwiches. they were scorpions, powder and cake delicious. beautiful living room to sit in front of the fireplace. the personal was very attentive and made us very comfortable.
Beautiful room, bathroom and shower fabulous, we were in the courtyard. drawing room has fantastic view, beautiful day, so it looked really great. only for us was the breakfast, very disappointed. the fruits that accompany the yogurt were 3 paganberries, 1 celestial and 1 edible. bacon was raw, poached eggs were hard, half cut black pudding, which was hard. Not what we expected after a nice dinner before the evening. hotel will be amazing, I am sure as soon as all the construction work is completed. the personal was beautiful.
A amazing night's stay, all the team were super friendly and helpful, the room was clean, spacious, comfy and the decor was beautiful. Dinner in the evening was just exquisite as was breakfast. Will stay again and highly recommend.
