I really don't understand the negative reviews. I've eaten from Rendezvous for over a year and visit quite often. It's a family run establishment and the quality of food and customer service is nothing short of spectacular. Everything I've ever tried from the menu is delicious. The best chips I've ever eaten. The servings were small for the price and our order was incorrect. We ordered 2 haggis suppers and 1 fish and chips, but received 2 fish and chips and 1 white pudding and chips instead. The service was for take out. The price per person was between £1-10. I would rate the food a 2 and the service a 1 out of 5.
I had a nice pizza, freshly cooked. The base had a slight crispness to it which I found unusual but was nice. There was plenty of topping and cheese. The service wasn’t very personal and I was left standing for a while before being acknowledged despite there being three staff members in view. Prices are reasonable. Street parking (free) outside the takeaway. I noticed that delivery is also available but also witnessed them taking the phone out of the socket as the phone wouldn’t stop ringing.
