The haddock, salmon, and beef shin were all fantastic, sourced locally and featured on a diverse menu. The dining room had a relaxed atmosphere and the service was excellent.

I tried the roast sirloin of beef, while my wife enjoyed the Fisherman's Platter. We both highly recommend these dishes.

Absolutely stunning location, beautiful gardens, peaceful atmosphere, baronial architecture. Great for exploring beautiful Scottish Borders. Easy parking is a bonus. Room 14 is simply gorgeous- very spacious with traditional features, and an amazing picture window. We had a delicious breakfast, the service and food were both fantastic. Special thank you to amazing, friendly, attentive staff-service and cleanliness were second to none. Housekeeping ladies-you are the best- rooms are spotless, and you are the friendliest bunch! We were almost late for breakfast, however lovely Kasia and Shiona made us feel so welcome and we received the best service. Can’t wait for another relaxing weekend in this unique hotel.
