The food was great, the service was friendly, the staff was accommodating (our reservation was happily changed last minute due to road closures caused by bad weather), and the atmosphere was cozy.

During our week in the Borders, we tried three dog-friendly restaurants, but we found ourselves coming back to this one twice. On our first visit, I had the most delicious Cream of Chicken and Mushroom soup I've ever had. It was so exceptional that others around us were also raving about it. My wife enjoyed the garlic bread, which was better than usual. The Haddock and Chips were excellent, and my wife loved the chicken Goujons. We returned for a second visit that week and both ordered the Goujons again, which came with a mango dip and chips and salad. They were fantastic and very filling, and even our dog got a taste. The Chef deserves a pay raise, and the servers did an outstanding job, earning a generous tip. Thank you!
