The location is amazing with a full panoramic view over the city and surrounding forests. It is a perfect place to relax after reaching the summit of Großer Feldberg. The atmosphere inside the coffee shop is warm and cozy. Staff were friendly and service was quick even when it was busy. The coffee was excellent, fresh, and well prepared. It tastes even better in the cold mountain weather. The seating area is comfortable and relaxing. It’s a great spot for taking a break and enjoying nature. Overall, it is a highly recommended place for both coffee and views.

Food and drink are pricey here due to the location and the beautiful view, fortunately the daily recommendation (Tagesempfehlung) I ordered that day was very nice. Mashed potato was creamy with small chunks of potato in it. The 2 sausages were meaty and not too salty. Sauerkraut was refreshing. The portion was so big that I couldn’t finish the Sauerkraut. I also enjoyed the flavorful Das Bier.
