Overall I would rate the restaurant higher but our last... read more We have been here 3 times during our ski holidays. Food was fine- nice strudels and some mains we tried. Overall I would rate the restaurant higher but our last experience there was an absolute disgrace. During our last visit my family was shouted at by an incredibly rude waitress, who ultimately sat 3 strangers at our table. To give you context: My mum and sister in law sat in the restaurant and waited with two infants for me and my brother. As one of the ski lifts was out of order we had to go down to a nearby village and take a skibus back to Planai, so we could come back immediately to meet them for lunch. In the meantime they ordered drinks and food, so they weren’t blocking a table. When we arrived we saw a group of 3 people being sat at my family’s table, and my mum and sister in law with 2 babies being forced to look for a table elsewhere (there were free tables indoors, so I don’t understand why the group of 3 couldn’t sit there . When I inquired about the situation, the waitress kept talking over me and shouting at me, even when the manager was asked to intervene. While I understood the restaurant is busy during lunchtime and the tables shouldn’t be blocked for extensive times, we were customers too and we had food delivered at the table literally the moment the strangers sat there. (For reference the group at the table nearby was there all morning and still there when we were leaving… and they didn’t have strangers sat with them The waitress should have handle the situation better- be polite and treat customers with respect. She could have explained her rationale calmly and asked my mum and sister to move to a smaller table indoors, and they would be more than happy to do it. During an attempt to discuss the matter with her, we asked her to keep her voice low as babies were asleep but she kept rising her voice… very poor behaviour. Overall, this staff member was very rude and lacked communication skills.
