Wife ordered... read more Got right in for a very late lunch on a Friday afternoon. Service was good, left us to checkout the menu as we asked since it was our first visit. Wife ordered bowl of chowdet and a chicken dinner, I had a bowl of beef vegtable soup and an old fadhionedclub. Food came quickly...both soips were great, chowder was thick, beef soup had plenty of beef and vegtables. The chickendinner was huge and more than she could eat....so she took home enough for a second meal. The club sandwich was done right andI took half home as well. Food highest qualtiy and quantity Service very good, knowlegeable, engaging andfriendly. Atmosphere, ok....just a diner in the back corner of small strip mall. Price to value is excellent.

Food was good. On the blander side of good. Seated after about 20 minutes as it was pretty busy at around 10 am on Saturday morning. Service was very friendly. Kept our drinks full. Never had to wait for more drinks. Have crayons to ourkiddo. The ingredients were fresh. Bacon was the tastiest and only think with flavor. Potatoes were hard and dry. Could usemore flavor. Similar lack to flavor for the Gravy, but the biscuits were fresh, soft. Over all not a bad experience, I?llcontinue to try new places before i settle on a regular spot in this area.

It?s away from our home but I wouldn?t mind driving here again. Server was friendly andattentive. There was a 30 minutes wait when we got here. Today is Memorial Day so that?s explain the high traffic.

The atmosphere was qui... read more My Daughter and I ate at Abel's Diner in Schertz on Saturday. It was my first time visiting there. The staff were friendly and attentive. The atmosphere was quiet and pleasant. I wanted to try something different and had the chicken mornay. It was verytasty! The seasoning was just right! My Daughter's meatloaf was delicious also. Please keep in mind, the entrees are availablein true diner style. There are daily specials for a particular day of the week, which may not be available everyday. There areplenty of items to choose from on the regular daily menu. I will return to try the daily special grilled pork chops. I also wantto try the chicken fried steak they are famous for. I ordered the delicious single layer BLT to take home. The BLT is alsoavailable double decker style. The full menu is available online.
