What Henri Bailey doesn't like about Ciao Bella:
We dined in for appetizers and ordered our food to go. My wife got the lemon whitefish which was good not great, came on a bed of spinach, a little too lemony but cooked very well. It was just missing something, maybe a pasta. I ordered the lasagna. I was very disappointed to say the least. It was flat with no filling between the layers, the lasagna was maybe 3/4 thick. 3 wide by 4 long. Not what you would expect fro... View all feedback.
I had the pleasure of dining at this restaurant for dinner, and I must say it was an excellent experience overall. The price per person ranged between $20 to $30, which I found to be quite reasonable considering the quality of the meal. The food was absolutely delicious, earning a well-deserved 5 out of 5. Each dish was flavorful and well-prepared, making it a delightful culinary experience. Equally impressive was the service, which also receives a perfect score of 5. The staff was attentive and friendly, ensuring that our needs were met throughout the evening. Finally, the atmosphere was simply fantastic, also deserving of a 5. The ambiance created a warm and inviting space, perfect for enjoying a meal. Overall, this restaurant truly impressed me, with outstanding food, excellent service, and a lovely atmosphere. I highly recommend it!
Instead of my usual whitefish with sautéed spinach, I opted for the shrimp Alfredo, which was so bland and lacking flavor that I should have sent it back, just like the other reviewer did. I ended up having to add parmesan and salt at the table to make it palatable. My husband ordered the linguine Del Mar, which had good flavor, but the clams had quite a bit of grit. It was evident that the kitchen hadn’t soaked them in salt water to clean out the sand. After these disappointing experiences, we’ve decided not to return. There are many great restaurants at this price point that offer much better food. I’m beginning to wonder if other former regulars have reached the same conclusion, as I have received multiple unsolicited emails inviting me to join their rewards program or try their catering services. I will be passing on those offers.
