This is a family-run restaurant where the owners take great care in preparing traditional Italian dishes. Every item is crafted with attention to detail; for instance, the dried sausage featured in the antipasto is made in-house. The service is friendly yet unobtrusive. The veal and pasta are simply wonderful! This is my favorite Italian restaurant, hands down. View all feedback.
What R Reveau dislikes about Appian Way:
After reading so many positive reviews, we were prepared to wait long for the food but thought the wait would be worth it. Not at all! After enduring the 1.5-hour wait for two entrees, both were extremely bland. The environment was a bit homey but a little tight and not very comfortable. And to top it all off, the only dessert offered was gelato. Even preparing the check at the end, when we couldn't wait to get out o... View all feedback.

I have to say, this is by far the best Italian restaurant in the area I have been to outside of Italy. Homemade pasta, great menu, and homemade deserts. The atmosphere was very quaint and casual, much like family owned restaurants abroad. Service was phenomenal. Very minor error on my order and he insisted on throwing in my gelato on the house. I will definitely be back when in town again. Will recommend to friends as well. Just a great all around experience. Thank you.
Best Italian food I've had in a long time! Everything was home made, the rapini was excellent fresh from Gina's personal garden. Will be back with my whole family to enjoy!
Great Italian Restaurant! Went for a birthday dinner! Very attentive staff. Homemade pasta and dessert. Highly recommend.
Atmosphere is that of a small family run restaurant.
Love this place!! From the amazing service to the delicious homemade pasta... everything was perfect!! If you love great Italian food, great atmosphere and great service... you'll love Appian Way!!
Appian Way offers a charming, authentic Italian dining experience celebrated for its homemade pasta, fresh ingredients, and traditional recipes passed through generations. The cozy atmosphere and attentive, family-like service create a welcoming environment, complemented by standout dishes like stuffed veal and fresh garden-grown rapini. While some find the menu limited and timing slow, many patrons appreciate the fresh sauces, excellent gelato, and carefully prepared classics. Expect a leisurely meal with moderate pricing and ample street parking. Ideal for fans of genuine Italian cuisine seeking a warm, nostalgic setting—even if the pace requires patience.

1000% to go one of my favorite places. Eating is an experience you will not forget. Can't get enough about The Appian Way rave!! Loves the filled calf. Servers are top notch. They all know what they have to offer and serve it right.
We had a lovely dinner at this restaurant, enjoying a large wedding sample menu that was expertly managed by our hosts. The homemade pasta was exceptional, and the gelato was delightful. The hosts were attentive without being intrusive. We will definitely plan to return for a regular dinner.
The best! Very authentic Italian restaurant- can’t get more authentic as their products are imported I believe. Such a cute place and the service is wonderful! Food is all homemade, made to order. Couldn’t recommend more.
Authentic great experience. Delicious dishes, mostly made from garden fresh ingredients. Highly recommend.
Plan to spend a few hours here. Everything is made in house (even the olive oil used in the restaurant is from their family's olive grove in Italy. The three ladies who run the place fly to Italy every year to help with the harvest and refill their supply). Because of this level of quality, you will wait for your fantastic food. Order an appetizer, enjoy the wood burning fireplace and the house wine while you wait.

You have to try this place! Beautiful selections on the menu, and the care they put into the preparation is really obvious. The ambiance is kind of old school, in a good way, and the service from Salvatore was great. A memorable evening.Thank you.
Delicious and filling, fabulous sauce, great homemade bread, family style salad,I had chicken francese and it was excellent with angel hair with marinara sauce....
It doesn’t get much better than this. No glam or glitz, just humble family that treats you like their own. Oh, and the food is delicious. ?
