Fortunately I was with friends who had been here before and they wouldn't consider anywhere else. With good reason; the drive was interesting because of the vast panorama of lights in the valley below. The welcome was really warm, as was the atmosphere. We were a party of 8 and had our own little side room, but still felt part of all that was going on. The food was simply excellent. Service was engaging and friendly, but still totally efficient. The only major fault I can find is that it may be a while before I can get back there. But I will.

You just have to know the two waiters, and you'll get absolutely everything you need; you're always welcome to ask. They can be a bit brusque at times, but I smile past it because I know they don't mean it. The food is truly magnificent, no matter what you order. Christoph's sister and her kitchen team are outstanding. Reservations are essential; ask nicely; they always try to accommodate. We'll be back. Lovingly decorated dining room.
