Clean, large dining room good service. The only reason I didn't have 5 stars was I asked for no FF. The counter visitor said you can divide on any meal. So, I just didn't stand to cook FF we dumped two huge containers from FF. View all feedback.
What Guy Osinski doesn't like about Clambake Seafood:
This place was a great disappointment. For $47.90 for only 2 people I was hoping to go full. I had the fish a chip and my husband had scattered the crumbs with fries and a side order of the onion rings. The onion rings were coarse and so thin that it was more than onion. Everything left a strange coating in my mouth. It was just a bunch of tasteless debrised moderate seafood. I really had better off the chain restaur... View all feedback.
This restaurant was a major letdown. For nearly $48 for just two people, I expected a more satisfying experience. I ordered the fish and chips, while my husband had the fish with fries and a side of onion rings. The onion rings were overly thin and lacked substance, with not much onion to speak of. Everything left a strange film in my mouth, and the seafood tasted bland and mediocre. I've had better meals at chain restaurants like Captain D's back home in Ohio. The only positive aspect was the nice view from the restaurant.
The dining room is clean and spacious, and the service is excellent. The only reason I didn't give a full five stars is that I requested no french fries. The staff at the counter mentioned that you could substitute any meal, but I ended up not staying to prepare an alternative because we ended up discarding two large containers of french fries.
Fantastic food at a reasonable price! They serve the best seafood platter in Maine. The fish was delicious, the clams in dough were outstanding, and the scallops were very flavorful, packed with plenty of shrimp. You get enough food to satisfy two hungry adults. The kids really enjoyed the French fries too. We dined there last Thursday and are planning to go again tonight!
That was a great experience! We have a lobster dinner and a shrimp roll. Both were amazing! The house made active sauce was also amazing! They were very friendly, had great customer service, got our food very fast and piping hot!! We sat back on the window. Great view! I need to see a crane eating. Will be back and will recommend to anyone I can!
I genuinely have no idea where to start. Ordered the combo fried platter (Shrimp+Haddock) and when I tell you that the fries were the best part, you should be worried. The fried Shrimp were borderline okay at best. They had a mostly crunchy outside and a soft-medium firm texture. The haddock was so unbelievably awful with no tatse and the most flimsiest Fried anything that I 've ever had. I initially wanted double fried shrimp but apparently the kitchen is Unable to do so as it confuses them. A member of my party ordered the baked scallops and they tasted so chewy and gamey that they had to be refunded. The Lobster stew (I was informed it was more milky than creamy beforehand) had very little lobster as well as a more water base than milky. If it wasn 't bad enough the bread was stale as all can be. I recommend going ANYWHERE else in the area.
