Second time we have been here. This time for my birthday weekend away/meal. Slightly different than last time in the summer, with the cooler weather putting some off from enjoying the large beer garden (at one point we had it to ourselves very nice! . Didn't put us off, and we enjoyed several drinks in the afternoon, changed and then went into the pub, where there were roaring fires, and a friendly welcome. The dinin... View all feedback.
What zenMaster62 doesn't like about The Horseshoe:
This place used to be a traditional Yorkshire pub but it's now trying to be a fine dining place. We preferred how it used to be. The menu is mainly meat, which is a bit strange for somewhere so close to the sea. I had... View all feedback.
Whenever we are in this beautiful area, we always make sure to stop by the Horseshoe. We are always impressed by the decor and find ourselves constantly admiring it. The atmosphere is cozy and inviting, the food is delicious, and they have a fantastic selection of Gin. It was a pleasure to chat with the owner, Craig, about his experience on 'Four in a Bed'. He is a lovely guy and we believe he should have won. The Farm Shop is also worth a visit, as they offer a great selection of homemade delights. We look forward to returning soon.
I stayed at this restaurant for two nights and had an amazing experience. The staff was very friendly and even spoiled my greyhound, who was welcomed at the establishment. I enjoyed the cozy atmosphere with the open fire, a great selection of beers, and delicious food. I will definitely be returning in the future.
We had an amazing Sunday lunch at this restaurant. The owners welcomed us at the door and offered us some delicious draft ales. The menu had plenty of options for lunch, and we tried the lamb, pork, and chicken dishes. The variety of vegetables was outstanding, especially the cauliflower cheese and roast potatoes. We didn't feel rushed at all and ended our meal with a delightful dessert with lots of choices. I highly recommend visiting this place as it has a lovely and secluded atmosphere, and I would hate to see it close due to lack of business.
Happened upon this hotel on trip up north- absolutely beautiful location and food way beyond our expectations. Friendly, roaring fire, great place.
This hotel is set in beautiful surroundings, The rooms could be cleaner but not too bad but the strange thing is after having a quiet drink with other guests a gang of young lads came in in about 6 cars and just took over the bar being very loud, The owner seemed to disappear and let the yobs rule the roost, very strange, A very nice breakfast just a shame about the yobs.
