Great place to stay and eat decently priced. Love the choice of real ales .my food was fantastic. The duty management was very friendly.my mixed grill was cooked to perfection. . A Little bit dearest compared to other spoons. But still cheap place to EAT. I suppose it's down to the Location. View all feedback.
What User doesn't like about The Angel:
Hotel pleasantly situated overlooking the harbour, if you can get a room with a view. Unfortunately, on this visit we couldn't and at per room per night it was disappointing. Room was clean although carpet was tired Bed comfortable. Not able to have any fresh air as windows were faulty. Staff worked hard but long wait for drinks sometimes. Amazing new look. fresh fish and boiled fresh love the prawn lolly pops and squid also beautiful to see a chip shop taking with a fresh lemon wedge.
Excellent hotel in the heart of whitby , the 2 ladies on reception are lovely and friendly, the room was spotless with water , biscuits and tea coffee on the tray . The shower was large and hot and the view was of the harbour in our room 317 . The pub is a spoons so it was busy we only ate once on Friday as breakfast was a 45 minute wait and Sunday they had sold out of nearly everything ,we sat upstairs as its large and warmer for a few drinks. Parking is close at 9 quid for 24 hours which is council owned. Thank you for a lovely birthday weekend .

Great hotel and staff. Three times here. Unfortunately this time was a lot of the menu, I would say that at least 30% of the breakfast items were not available throughout our stay and there was a problem with the hot water, so it was impossible to have a hot shower or enjoy a bath. so was not our experience before, so would still come back in any case
Nice place and nice staff. Quick service and food was OK. Problem...says no smoking and no dogs accept for assistance dogs. Anyway at front young idiots were smoking those stupid vapours and also cigarettes. Also young idiots had a dog under table...feeding the damn thing...and definitely not an assistance dog. Come on Wetherspoon staff .. grow a pair and tell the cheeky gits. Not everyone likes dogs and definitely not smoking.
