I treated myself to fried bread with my brunch and it was the best I've ever had with the perfect egg to dip it in. There was a vegetarian option too. Staff were pleasant and helpful. The interior is simple cafe furniture but was clean and not cramped. Prices are extremely reasonable so great value for money. I also spotted a fresh baked cake which looked very tempting. I'd definitely visit again if I have the chance next time I'm in Scarborough.

I will definitely be returning in October and Rendezvous Cafe will be my go-to spot for breakfast once again.

We had been going to the place every day during our visits to Scarborough over the last 20 years but never again. Yes it has been redecorated which needed doing but the menu has been changed too, it's all fry or salad meals, not one meat and veg meal. We thought we noticed Scampi on the menu but when I ordered it the proprietor said in a unfriendly way that Scampi is not on the menu. We ordered a cup of tea then left.

They have improved the appearance of the place since my last visit, and the breakfast was delicious. The runny egg, bacon, and beans were all cooked perfectly.
