camping on the broadings farm and today evening ordered a fish chip scale for delivery. quickly arrived, eating was hot and absolutely delicious. the fish was wonderful chips exfoliated fabulous. would recommend to everyone to visit whitby to partake. Thought we had landed a real coup. Having a fish and chop shop right on our doorstep on a trip to Whitby. Unfortunately not. Firstly, this is a cash only place we nearly fell down at that point until I remembered that we had some cash in the car. The staff were lovely and the shop was very clean. Nothing wrong with this place.. good fish and chips, very friendly people working there and I thought very reasonable prices. I’m going back again before my holiday is over.. I highly recommend the railway chippy..

Top Haddock, fab bit of fish , chips floppy but tasty , offered Scrats , not sure what that was , reasonably priced and ya can eat um in pub opposite, owners decent local kinda folk
Staying nearby, went into Co op and asked 2 people working there where they would get their F&C from unanimous. The smell was glorious and cooked to order. very good value for money (best) and tastier than the posher ones around the main drag/harbour. make the effort and get from here. Get your order in, have a drink in the little pub over the road. note they close at 7.30pm.
We were a bit apprehensive given the previous reviews but we have absolutely no regrets. The fish was fresh, perfectly cooked and batter crispy. Yes the chips were a bit soggy but tasty. Would probably just go for the fish next time and it was huge!!
