Bay Boats - Scarborough

Had four serves of calamari and they were so good we went back for four more! Excellent service too.

If you want a classic burger the way it should be, go to Bay Boats. They can get busy but it is just because they serve great food and it is in demand. We have been here several times and always come back for takeaway burgers to take down to the beach. We have always found them friendly and serving high quality food. Oh and the chips are awesome too.

We drove past all the other take away/dine in and seen this little place. It's how I remember how fish and chip shops used to be. Very clean and the decor not pretentious like some place are.Beautiful breeze while we sat at the table outside.Being on a slight hill you can see the water. The staff were friendly and helpful. When not serving their many customers they were tiding up.

Food is cheap and nasty don't know if they have new owners or it's the young kids that dress inapproprite who don't care about service who knows

I visited here for the first time today I am relatively local to the area and would normally go elsewhere but due to the busy nature of the shop I decided to go to Bay boats I was greeted with a very rude manner looked up and down as if to say what are you doing here don't you have enough fat on you already however I continue ordering in the hope that the food would been better however I was sadly disappointed my fish was tough and like eating a piece of leather what a shame my total order was over $30 but thought I only got $10 worth of food I work in the hospitality industry as a chef and was very disappointed in the value. If it had not been for the apparent downsizing of my meal compared to what others were getting I would've probably let this go. Also the burger we received seem to have been made an hour ago steak was tough and the vegetables on it seem to be very wilted even though it was five minutes or less after receiving the order that we ateI would not in any circumstance recommend this place again it truly was a disappointment I was hoping maybe being so close to the marina it would have had some charm and a sense of quality but was mistaken and for the price a few more competent people working there not just juniors.
