What Frank Spencer doesn't like about Lung Fung:
I used to visit this restaurant two or three times a week because it’s convenient and offers a decent menu, plus video lottery. However, the quality of the food last week was like a fake news broadcast—it was that disappointing. I'm hesitant to go back until I have a chance to see if things improve. The taste and quality of the food have significantly declined, which is really disappointing considering I used to eat... View all feedback.
This place is the real deal. I highly recommend it. The service was friendly. The food is actually fresh! The sesame chicken is hand-baked and the sweet and acidic sauce is also homemade, which I thought really impressive. The spring rolls are AWESOME. General Tso chicken is great. Prices are very reasonable. Go! PS the building is old and could use some update, but it was totally fine and authentic!!
If you've ever been to a local Chinese-American restaurant, this is no better or worse than any of them. In fact, why is it that all these restaurants are SO similar? It's uncanny. Actually, I take it back in that one thing this restaurant can boast is that the main woman who is normally there to greet and seat people, take orders, deliver food, take To Go orders over the phone... she's really nice. A lot of asian restaurants, as the stereotype goes, are pretty gruff perfunctory service. But this lady is very sweet. The food is inexpensive, typically large servings, the normal combos are to be found on the menu. You can call for To Go orders, but they don't deliver. Not many places deliver in this town though. One gripe is that if you get a To Go order, you don't get the soup that you would get if you dined in. Kind of annoying, since the price is the same.
Quiet lounge atmosphere on our trip from Seaside to home, decided to finally visit. So glad we did. The food was fresh and delicious. I will definitely return!
