The restaurant itself is unique and charming, so it is worth reserving a table in advance, especially during the high season. The staff is very friendly, attentive, and welcoming. Prices are very reasonable and affordable. The menu is quite small, so guests looking for a wide variety of dishes should keep this in mind. There are no fish dishes on the menu. The selection of drinks is also rather limited, mainly consisting of house wine, water, and a few soft drinks. The house wine has a very young and robust character, which may not suit everyone’s taste, so it is worth considering before ordering. The food is fresh and carefully prepared, although this is more a place to visit for its atmosphere, beautiful location, and cozy evening experience than for fine dining. Overall, we had a pleasant experience. A beautiful spot with the special charm of Scalea’s old town, friendly staff, and very reasonable prices.

The staff are super friendly and the old town charm can't be faked. My wife adored the potatoes and peppers. We should have ordered the 3L of house wine. ; Bring cat treats! We can’t get enough of their eggplant Parmesan. The restaurant is a bit of a hike through the historical district but it is well worth it. For those with restricted mobility we recommend parking near the top and walking down from the castle ruins (not wheelchair acceptance). Truly a great location for amazing Italian cuisine.
