Live fairly locally and cannot believe I did not discover this restaurant before. All fresh, all maison and the 13 Euro lunch menu which is amazing value changes daily with whatever produce is available locally on the day. Top quality products expertly cooked. Good reasonably priced wines. Warm welcome. Cannot wait to go back. View all feedback.

Beautiful location, very nice food, fresh and home made. Kind and professional service, they managed to accommodate my food allergy despite the set menu. Really a pleasant experience to be remembered!!
This place really is very unusual and very classy! We had no real internet access (and don 't do smartphones) on our holiday, so I had to phone ahead and book, while we were out sightseeing on the Corniche d 'Angevine and in Béhuard, without knowing quite what to expect. At midday they only do one set menu, coffee included, cheese extra. That day the main course was fish and we didn 't really fancy it, so we asked if we couldn 't just have entrée and cheese and dessert, and the lovely lady who was looking after things and serving seemed rather bothered about this, then eventually said they couldn 't adjust the price. I said that didn 't matter, we 'd just pay the set price (which is really reasonable anyway). But she went in and spoke to her business partner who was cooking and they rustled up some delicious chicken in a light sauce, which we really didn 't expect, and we had a super meal. In fact I could have just eaten a plate of the accompaniments, which were big sweet slices of Vichy carrots and a mixed grain and lentil pilaf, simple but so wholesome and elegant. We had a very fresh and light terrine to start and then husband had excellent cheese and I had a slice of luscious banana cake after. There was a very substantial and sophisticated wine list as this is such the wine area par excellence, but we kept it simple and stuck to the board, which had a 'Savennieres surprise ' and some sweet chenin blanc other delights by the glass. The whole place though just has a really mellow, authentic, atmosphere and style, emanating partly from the setting a rather elegantly faded, typical Loire valley sort of 'belle demeure ' in a quiet old wine village but mostly from the warmth and talents of the two women who run it. We sat outside under big shades at tables with simple cloths and flowery napkins and assorted mismatched plates and dishes; you might share one big table with other people, but there 's plenty of room and it 's just so peaceful and serene, all kinds of people come and go, eating alone or in small groups, very relaxed. A unique and very happy experience, highly recommended, though perhaps best to check the menu in advance to make sure; we were lucky they very kindly proposed an alternative, but they don 't normally offer a choice. I understand they open three evenings a week with a sort of sharing/tasting menu which I imagine would be wonderful too.
Dish of the day only, but produces fresh and well prepared. It is not a gastro, but a very nice step on the road to the castles of the anjou.
