The Steakhouse On Whitemarsh Island

We went for our first visit after hearing such great things about, what a disappointment. Ordered the stuffed portobello mushroom, it was cold and tasted/smelled like crabmeat was soured/spoiled. Had to go wash the smell/stench off my lips and fingers. Salad was very good. Then came the entrées?server delivered to wrong table, went and checked the kitchen and came back minutes later and switched plates from that table to ours and swore those customers didn?t touch anything. We complained that wasn?t ok and server said she could assure us they didn?t touch. We requested new plates (anyone who knows my husband knows he doesn?t send anything back for fear it will get spit in). Server and that table were discussing how we didn?t have to make a big deal. Y?all have heard of cross contamination and we ARE in the midst of a pandemic and y?all did reach over the plate to get your dirty martini and germ particles did cross over the plate. Anyways, once the new plates were brought back the lobster tails were dried out, definitely not butter poached and juicy. Steaks were burnt and not serve to medium temperature but a charred shoe leather. We waited over an hour and 15 minutes to speak to the manager and his explanation was only that they had gotten bad news before the dinner rush. Then sir, you would?ve served us all better had you NOT opened. Yours and your staffs lack of customer service in trying to better our experience was deplorable! I wouldn?t recommend this restaurant to even my worst enemy?if ever a buyer beware, this is it!!! Money spent here was wasted.

Can 't get enough of the place! Thursday tasting lets you sample drinks you otherwise wouldn 't. While enjoying perfect smaller portions of the best steak and seafood. Excellent live music. Perfect date night. RESERVATIONS REQUIRED.

First and foremost this is one of the best steakhouse restaurants I have been to. Second I have been to this steakhouse several times and have always had a very nice experience. I do wish they had outdoor seating so I can come more often when the cases get high in the area, but that would be my one and only critique. When we come we typically sit at the bar, generally there are only 2 of us so no need to take up a table. I have tried several of their dishes, my favorite being the Filet Mignon steak. I love the char they have on the outside and the 5 times I've had this steak the temperature has always been on point (I am particularly picky about my steak temp). It is rare to find consistency and I have always found it here. The NY Strip was very well cooked and full of flavor as well. Most of the side dishes I have enjoyed and their salads are always nice and fresh. On my last visit we brought my parents who were visiting from out of town. My mother being particularly picky and wants things exactly how she expects them. This was actually the first time we didn't sit at the bar. The food was spot on as usual, my mother was so pleased and happy she kept talking about the food the whole visit. Her lobster was great, the scallops were cooked to perfection, she loved her drink as well. It isn't just about the food either, the drinks are quite nice as well. The staff has always been polite and accommodating. I've seen some complaints about prices but I'll be honest the cost is pretty reasonable considering the quantity and quality of the food. All said and done, the Steakhouse on Whitemarsh is by and large my favorite local steak restaurant.

Wow!!! Where to start? The ambience was so charming with local artists dotting the walls. The service was warm and friendly. The wine was excellent. The filet mignon was cooked perfectly, browned on the outside and tender on the inside. The live music really created a great atmosphere. We would come back!

Celebrated our birthdays here with friends, a party of 10. Food was delicious, service was great. A little gem we found locally. Prices are phenomenal for the steaks which includes starch, vegetables, and choice of Caesar or regular salad. Beats other steakhouses that charge higher prices. Their pasta and food portions were amazing. Will definitely return.
