we liked eating here! the menu has marked vegan elements clearly, which is always a relief. the portions were generous and we ate ourselves silly. I recommend the channa masala, the sweetssamosas, and the hot pickel. that was our first internal meal since the pandemic and since the vaccine received. we were the only customers, but I can only imagine how great this place would be in normal times! friendly, attentive s... What User doesn't like about Pakwan:
This place is super expensive. Yes, they have vegan options clearly marked on the menu, but the food we tried was bland. We asked for mild dishes. One of them was spicy and both of them were bland (mild doesn’t mean spice less Also, we ordered a ‘chef special’: gobi (cauliflower) Manchurian: $17 for half a cauliflower?? Really? It wasn’t worth the price. I’ve eaten in Indian restaurants in 3 continents (including Ind... View all feedback.
We absolutely enjoyed our dining experience here! The menu had vegan options clearly indicated, which we always appreciate. The portions were ample and we indulged ourselves completely. I strongly recommend trying the channa masala, the vegetable samosas, and the hot pickle. This was our first indoor meal since the pandemic and being vaccinated. We were the only patrons, but we can envision how fantastic this place would be under normal circumstances! The service was friendly and attentive, with Bollywood movies playing on the TV. We look forward to returning soon!
I was pleasantly surprised by the vegan options at this restaurant in Savannah. The food was flavorful, rich, and very satisfying. The server was attentive and knowledgeable, and the vegan options were clearly marked on the menu. I enjoyed the samosas, dal makhani, and paratha - they were all delicious. If I lived closer, I would definitely make this place a weekly stop. It's unfortunate that the restaurant seems to be struggling, especially with Covid, but I highly recommend stopping by for some amazing vegan food and to support a family business. It's a refreshing change from the bland vegan options found elsewhere in the area. Let's make sure we have more options than just boring chain restaurants!
There are plenty of delicious vegan choices available at this restaurant. Additionally, my server was incredibly friendly and accommodating.
The vegetarian section of their menu pleasantly suprised me. Not only were entrees separated out but appetizers were too! This was actually my first time trying indian food and I was blown away. The veggie samosas were to die for and I really enjoyed my vegetable biryani. Great service, great food, and lots of options for both myself and my carnivore friends.
Hands down this is the best Indian restaurant in town. Love it
