We really enjoyed our visit to this restaurant. Although we had to wait a few minutes because it was quite busy, it was worth it. I ordered the shrimp and grits, and it was delicious. My wife opted for the afternoon tea service, which was lovely. The blueberry lemonade was exceptionally tasty. Overall, we had a great time in a fantastic atmosphere.
This place is stunning—an architectural treasure! Originally a Masonic hall, then a pharmacy, it retains elements of its history, all while resembling a library, with high ceilings and shelves filled with old books. The food was just as impressive. My wife and I both ordered the quiche of the day, which was expertly prepared and accompanied by a lightly dressed salad and slices of cantaloupe. The scones were fresh and exceptional. For dessert, we enjoyed a puff pastry filled with apples and topped with matcha, which was fantastic. The coffee was also excellent.
During my entire trip to South Carolina and Georgia, this was by far the best experience I had! I happened to walk by the building and couldn't resist stopping in. The elegance and attention to detail in the interior design and ambiance are simply timeless! Since it was close to closing time, the atmosphere was tranquil, and we were fortunate enough to have a lovely table by the window. We enjoyed some tea, coffee, coconut mousse, and an éclair. The servers are students from a prestigious culinary school, and the young man who assisted us was outstanding. He shared a brief history of the place, which added to the overall experience.
Truly unique experience in Savannah! From high tea in the morning to delicious daily soups and quiches in the afternoon, all in the gorgeous historic pharmacy now run by SCAD. Recommend showing up when it opens or on a weekday, to avoid a wait! Food: 5 Service: 4 Atmosphere: 5 Price per person: $10–20
