that was the first thing I tried when I arrived in savannah. very nice bar staff and the drinks were super good. I tried the sweet georgia brown and also had a good old fashion. here recently and was disappointed to say the least. the calamari was well cooked and slandered. I paid $26 for the fried garnels and from combo only to get as much food as long john silver. Eating was okay, but expected more. cole Slav was warm and smelled like a hobo’s armpit and we cannot leave the NON-NEGOTIABLE 20% service fee for a table of 2. save them their appetit and money and eat them in the riverhouse. I started with the Gator bites as an appetizer. they were not the best I had and honestly I feel that only new orleans can do the right thing, but they were okay. I chose the fish of the day that was red snapper, and it came with sparing and I also chose the smoked sausage as side. everything was wonderful! I recommend the smoked sausage and the spatula was prepared perfectly and very well spiced. I didn't give five stars because the fish was a little overcooked, but unlike that it had a really good taste profile.
Immersed for a quick bite and drinks between lunch and dinner. looked up on the balcony for a beautiful brise. such a sweet, funny, casual place. our server arthur was fantastic! the oysters savannah (pictured) and the crab dip (warm, cheesey and served in a broth dish) were delicious! in the ground floor there is a cozy bar vibe. I'm glad we stopped!
That was great. Just wait an hour when we put our names on the lists. they do not make reservations so that there will first serve. our waitress amanda was very friendly and helpful. eating was good but my friend and I enjoyed the suppe and apps more than the main dishes. they ran out, so we couldn't try them.
Outside dining with heaters that were not efficient. Went back to request inside and were told it would be 40 minutes even though there were many empty tables and they had just seated a couple immediately ahead of us. Waitress didn't come out until over 10 minutes after we were seated. The soup took 15 minutes to be brought out and the entrees another 25. My pasta had already started to toughen up on top from sitting under a heat lamp somewhere and my boyfriends rice was cold. The food didn't even taste very good. The best part was the bread and I am sure it wasn't make there.
Food was good! We got the spinach appetizer which was amazing!! Do not get the fried pickles they are cut too thin, covered in breading dry (not good). The famous soup is as good as everyone says it is! Delicious ? I would come back again for the soup.
