Perfect for the Savannah crowd. They really did the ex-Florence dining room themselves and the food was not disappointed! Some may not like the “served as prepared” method, but for me it feels more like a casual family meal. Enjoy the ambience and any other company. What's the hurry? Street Mais is a must meeting and the Margaritas are a delicious $6 issue. Come back! View all feedback.
What User doesn't like about El Coyote:
Cute place with a small seating area, but the ramen was a bit disappointing. I had the pork tonkotsu bowl and the broth was rather thin and plain, not thick and multi-dimensional as expected. The noodles were a little overcooked. I think that some improvements can be made to make the offerings even better. View all feedback.
Well... I drove 25 minutes out of my way on a road trip to Jacksonville to try this place because it sounded good, and I’m a bit of a ramen connoisseur... but it was really disappointing. Payed $30 for two bowls of ramen that was wayyyyyyyyyyyyy below my standard. One of my chief complaints is that the Tonkatsu broth was more like a French broth than a thick, milky tonkatsu broth you find at an authentic ramen joint. If a ramen place can’t get the Tonkatsu broth exquisite, there’s really no point in going. My other complaint was that the pork chasu was basically two small strips of weird tasting bacon. If you’re going to serve upscale ramen, you just have to make the pork chasu prepared right and really add something to the meal. I would go as far as to say this was the worst upscale ramen I’ve ever had. I’ve had worse ramen, like at a food court or from a package, but not as a self-proclaimed Ramen speciality shop.
I’ve had ramen from sasaboe to Nagasaki, Oregon to Florida and this is a disappointment. Looks the part but the price gouging aside (they charge you for togarashi a freaking table seasoning that should be next to the pepper and soy sauce! They charged me for soy sauce too!? WTF?! there is no f@&ks given to the individual ingredients. The noodles instant, forgivable but cheap one and over cooked, the pork was boiled, fine but unseasoned and really bad pork belly. Just instant instant instant and the shoyu! Cloudy and full of fat, and why the hell do I taste ginger in it? In short I cannot approve the cost to quality of this attempt at ramen. Kline the ramen guy
Oh, man! It's so delicious! I'm not a vegan, but the vegan moan may be my favorite. I don't know. Hard to choose!!
Great authentic ramen in Savannah, they nailed it! Both broths were delicious, noodles perfectly cooked and all toppings. I love that you can build your own bowl of ingredients! I came with a friend who has Celiac's disease who doesn't expect to eat here, but then the cook came out and told us he could make her a custom bowl without cross contamination of gluten! She was so glad that she could not eat her arms until now!
Fast friendly staff. Easy menu with multiple adjustment options. Pork Tonkatsu was tasteful, a bit oily compared to Rammen places in Taipei. Free parking back.
