My family loved the ambience here... live piano music and a quiet, private ambience. The staff was so friendly, and most customers seemed local. Janae, our waitress, was especially friendly to our son, and the manager came out to give us hugs as we left. The Mahi, the crabcakes and the squash soup were all delicious. A great date restaurant. Food was GREAT but EXPERIENCE was AWFUL. Seated promptly then ignored by waitstaff for 20 minutes. Meal delivery took another 30 minutes. We were a partly of 4 and all the meals came out at different times. Then what was served was different than what was described on the menu and this was a major issue due to dietary restrictions one of us have. I have always enjoyed Billy's and now my Road Scholar groups have dinner there on Tuesdays in the Spring and Fall. Every group (with 40 people each) love the food, atmosphere, service, staff, and live music here!
Billy's Place is one of my most favorite places in Savannah to dine! I recommend the lamb..succulent and so incredible! Stephen (the head bartender) is always mixing up one of his delicious cocktails for us and the entertainment simply can't be beat with Nancy Witt Mike Sweat at the keyboards. Both musicians have to be two of the most talented people in Savannah. Couple that with an incredible atmosphere and fantastic Historic Savannah location and you have it all! I HIGHLY recommend dining there!
Excellent atmosphere great wine menu.... Loved it ... Billy's will definitely be one of frequent stops.
Food is great, service is great and the entertainment by Nancy Witt is Fantastic!!!
