Staff and food was great! Not a fan of their politically motivated book selection which I 'm guessing is a reflection of the owners views. I do not think that Donald Trump is the second coming nor do I believe the multitude of lies and/or conspiracies espoused by him and his followers. I do however believe that others have a right to believe as they wish. View all feedback.
What Jelly Tookoon doesn't like about The Mixing Bowl Bakery:
The guy at the counter was friendly but the baked goods my sister and I got ended up being thrown away. Mine was vegan and it was still frozen in the middle. It was also very dry and didn't taste great. My sister got weirdly dry pie. The atmosphere was fine, but it's definitely a little off putting that they have anti-vax stuff written all over and some pretty... controversial books. If the food was fine I probably s... I’ll always prefer to give my money to family run establishments, and this is no different. Delicious and wallet friendly coffee drinks and a wonderful variety of pastries. I got the homemade blackberry donut and it was delicious! The only complaint I’d have is that I’m a little overwhelmed by visible clutter and there is a fair amount. Though we did find gifts for Easter for our kids so it was a win win!
Curtis, Vickie, and the kids have such a well-run bakery here! They recognize their regulars and practically know your order ahead of time. It's always a joy to stop in for my favorite coffee sweet breakfast treats, with the occasional grocery pickup. Plus, they're very supportive of their local small businesses and help out wherever they're able to! <3
Delicious homemade Danish for like $2 what's not to love? Eclectic atmosphere but I dig it. Great local eatery in a small town. Didn't use the drive thru but they have one
Walked in today because I was in town and heard they offered gluten friendly options. The snide 10 year old who was “helping” me was clearly laughing at me (I was wearing a mask, not trying to get sick before Christmas gatherings) I asked him straight up, what are you laughing at and he just laughed harder. With all of the political and religious signage everywhere I picked up that I was being made fun of. Hard pass, and for crying out loud, somebody get those kids/ worker bees into a school.
Great family run store. It was very friendly and the bakery goods were delicious. We will be back!
