Ing Doi Thai Kitchen - Saugus
Ing Doi Thai Kitchen
Description
Ingdoi Thai, a beloved establishment in Santa Clarita, has recently faced mixed reviews following a change in management. While some patrons enjoy the warm ambiance and attentive service, others lament the decline in food quality and flavor. Dishes like the BBQ Steak Thai Style have disappointed with questionable meat quality, while favorites like larb and panang curry have not maintained their original zest. However, many diners still praise dishes like the crab fried rice and Tom Kah Kai, noting the inviting atmosphere and prompt service. Despite the inconsistencies, Ingdoi Thai remains a noteworthy option for Thai cuisine in the area.

Partner and I came here for the first time today for an early lunch. The place has adequate sitting and yet it doesn't look cramped. The place was clean and had a nice homey feel to it. We were greeted immediately upon entering with a warm hello and a welcoming smile by a young lady who eventually was our server, Yim.Yim was nice, got our drinks and appetizer right away, and she was on point when she took our order. We had the tofu (extra crispy), the curry panang, and the crab fried rice. All the dishes were flavorful and the amount of food was just right for me! The panang which I had it in mild (level of spice) with tofu was awesome!!!! The crab fried rice had a decent amount of crab and it wasn't greasy. The Thai ice tea was made just right for my taste, it wasn't sweet and over powering. Over all we were very satisfied and we will definitely come back!!!
Food was delivered piping hot, available ok Postmates. Curry comes with rice although I don't think the Postmates app says so
We never had any issues when the restaurant was called Ingdoi Thai - everything was delicious. However, since the name change or new management, the quality has declined. For example, I ordered the BBQ Steak Thai Style and it was terrible. The steak wasn't actually BBQed and I had to cook it myself. It was mostly fat with very little meat, so much so that I had to remove a significant amount of fat. The quality of the meat is questionable and inedible. Even the larb dish was not the same - lacking in spices. It's disappointing because this used to be our favorite Thai restaurant, but the prices are now too high for the quality. Sadly, we will have to find a new favorite spot.
The food, service, and atmosphere at this restaurant are consistently excellent. They also offer delivery services. Our friends from Europe were very impressed. Overall rating: 5 out of 5 for the food.
This is a hidden gem. It's pretty hidden out in Santa Clarita on Bouquet Canyon and Canyon. Ing Doi in Thai means hill and this restaurant is definitely hidden in the hills of SCV. I always get their roasted duck curry. Of course duck is hard to find out here in Santa Clarita. The pad Thai was tasty and contained the perfect Thai flavors mixed with sweetness, saltiness, and sourness from the lime and tamarind and of course the peanuts and bean sprouts made it crunchy.Highly recommended Thai Food in SCV
