It was a nice Sunday and the garden out the front looked lovely so we asked about an available table. Seems the place is popular as we got the last one. Food delicious, owner is the nicest person and dogs are welcome which is pretty rare. Food is local, tarts are wonderful. And the terrace is really welcoming. They cook the nicest mushrooms!
I have been to this auberge three times. The first time was for a drink, where my friends and I were ignored for 20 minutes before we got up and left (we went to the small tea room opposite, which is very nice). The second time was for lunch with my parents. The plat du jour was of poor quality and my mother was unable to eat the offering of fatty ham. My father had a schnitzel, which was good, but expensive. On the third occasion, the restaurant was full when we arrived, but the unprofessional attitude of the management in the manner we were turned away in, was disappointing and unacceptable. All in all, this charming location is totally let down by unprofessional management and its city-centre prices.
