Unfortunately when I visited many rooms were closed and various things I wanted to see were not there. I'll have to go back. Credit to the fact that, given the partial closure, they have reduced the price, it's not for everyone.

Absolutely worth visiting is the new exhibition by the Sardinian designer Antonio Marras On the trail of Clemente , archaeological finds combined by association of ideas, affinity, colour, fantasy with precious traditional Sardinian clothing items. All the territories of Sardinia are represented through their lace and embroidery in large installations. The room of the flying dancers is breathtaking. To visit in silence while listening to splendid music.

The museum offers a fascinating journey into the history and culture of Sardinia, with finds ranging from the prehistoric age (among the best in the world to more recent times. The archaeological section is incredible, with many Nuragic bronzes and ancient ceramics that show the artistic ability of a people of shepherds ... ; The building is well maintained, with bright and welcoming spaces. The staff is courteous and helpful, ready to answer any questions. I highly recommend visiting this museum if you are in Sassari. It is a must see for anyone who wants to learn more about the history and traditions of Sardinia... unless you are a university student from Sassari, legend has it that the visit could bring bad luck
