A truly interesting museum for anyone who wants to delve into all periods of Sardinian history, offering several rooms with important artifacts. The ticket costs €6, but it's worth every penny.

This museum is one of those places that stays in my heart, and it has been for me since I was little. I returned to visit it a few years after its reopening, and I was incredibly moved. The renovation was done with such care that you can feel it in every detail. Nothing has been overturned: on the contrary, you can truly feel the respect and love for Sardinia's history. The spaces are bright, tidy, and welcoming; each artifact is highlighted without being stifled, left free to tell its own story. And what stories! Wonderful finds, some truly unique, that manage to convey the depth of Sardinia's past and the immense richness of this culture. I remember perfectly the emotion of standing before certain pieces: that intense, almost difficult to explain, feeling that washes over you when you realize you're standing before something that belongs to a distant time and that, despite everything, continues to live and tell its story. It's a museum that touches, that teaches, that envelops you in its silence, full of memories. It's a shame it's not visited as much as it deserves. The quality of the exhibition and the work of those who manage it are impeccable: all the staff were extremely kind and helpful, and you can tell they do their job with passion. If this museum is so special, it's also thanks to all the people who work so diligently every day to keep it running. Unfortunately, I can't attach photos right now because I had them on an old phone, but as soon as I can find them, I'll update this review with the wonders I was fortunate enough to photograph. In any case, I can say with certainty that this museum is a must-see for anyone passing through Sassari. The ticket price is truly negligible compared to the immense value of the experience. It's a magical place, rich in history and beauty, capable of moving anyone with even a modicum of curiosity, love, and sensitivity for such beauty. Highly recommended.

The museum is very rich in local artifacts, well presented. It's truly disappointing not to be able to visit the section on the Nuragic civilization. The staff was very friendly.

Small but well-organized museum

This museum covers extensive eras in the history of civilisations across Sardegna and the Mediterranean. Artifacts have been discovered on the island. We were fascinated to learn about those who inhabited the Nuraghe that are scatted across the island.
