Just got home from taking my friend for her birthday brunch. They treated her to a drink for her birthday. We had the most delicious eggs...mine a regular Benedict and hers with spinach. The server was fabulous. Lots of coffee and even a thermos jug for the table. I shall take others here for sure. the lunch and dinner menu looks tasty too. View all feedback.
What User doesn't like about Scarlet:
The food was good, but on the three occasions that we frequented this location (on a recent family vacation), only once was the service adequate. A dinner and breakfast were painfully slow and not what I would expect from a restaurant of this caliber. They did redeem themselves somewhat when our lunch exceeded expectations. View all feedback.

Beautiful evening to sit outside with beautiful view of park and river. We enjoyed a wild mushroom thin crusted pizza and a glass of Errazuriz Cabernet. Service was excellent. Restaurant located in the Sheraton on Spadina.
Joined a friend for dinner at Scarlet before heading to the Jazz Festival across the street. What a great place! It was a little cooler and had recently rained, but we were convinced to sit outside on the patio. The heaters were on, so it was actually quite pleasant out there!Food was really good! We tried the Spinach Dip (which was the warmed up cheesy kind - soooo good!), the Mussel Pot (they were in a white wine cream broth - also really good and not garlicky like a lot of other places offer), and the Wild Mushroom Pizza. Somehow a Margherita Pizza came out instead of the mushroom pizza (an error on their part) but they were really quick to bring out the correct item. The pizza had a LOT of mushrooms, so you'd better love them if you order it.There was no time for dessert, but the menu sounded so good that I'll make a point of going back and enjoying an order of beignets on the patio! Maybe with a boozy shake!
The restaurant I wanted to go to was not open yet, so I went here because the ratings were good. I will say that the service was attentive and friendly and the atmosphere was nice. Two things ruined it for me. One was the menu item I chose - the Banananut Sandwich. It was little better than peanut butter on toast. If there was bananas in there, I couldn't taste them and the brioche toast might have been white bread for all the flavor it had. Just bad. Do not order it. The second thing (which was not the restaurant's fault) was I was seated by two "jocks" that had a running commentary about themselves. I don't mind conversations, but these guys talked over the ends of each others sentences in their eagerness to talk about themselves. And they did not pause once for my entire meal. Annoying to the point of obnoxious.
