I ordered the tandoori chicken with garlic naan bread and 2 chutnys mango and tameric . Always up for a good tandoori but the chicken was more saucy than the dry rub and char grilled tandoori I was used to from other restaurants, so the flavour didn't pack as much of a punch but still good none the less! The problem with this restaurant is the meals are way too small. I would need to order two meals to fill myself up and that would cost too much. Go to a restaurant that gives a decent amount of food for a meal. The other problem with this restaurant is they don't have enough vegan food without dairy, meat, honey, etc. View all feedback.
We order black pepper at least once a week. best Indian food in saskatoon! last week we ordered and the butter chicken was not good. I called the restaurant to ask why and the manager told me there was a new cook and he still learned. he assured me that he would fix the mistake, and our next command would be on him. I called tonight and he remembered our conversation and honored his last conversation with me. amazing customer service, great food and great prices. I can't say enough about how happy I am with this restaurant.
Ordered food from them multiple times. Food tastes very good. But they don't listen or read any instructions given in order. Multiple times I asked them to keep chicken pieces small so kids can have it too it's not hard to make small pieces by myself,but I asked them to do it bcz I pay for order . but they don't care and don't listen at all. Naan was over cooked from one side burnt , chicken in butter chicken was not properly cooked. Salad was missing salt and lemon, it was covered with grounded black pepper. That's their name is that's why ? Even in optional instructions I written clearly but they don't care , won't recommend anyone if they don't improve. Kuldeep Singh owner pay attention. Always a pleasure at black pepper! I'm going to make sure to visit whenever I can make it to the city. eating is always delicious and consistent. friendly staff!
The evening meal is open! the first time tried this special restaurant and absolutely loved eating. my wife and I regularly eat Indian food and have eaten Indian food from all over Canada. from vancouver to toronto and even in st. john’s newfoundland and eating here is with the best we had and is simply the best in saskatoon. the butter chicken was actually the best we had and the naan was so light and fluffy and hot from the often lubricated. I couldn't stop. service was excellent and they were very friendly. we will definitely go back. update: there were a few weeks ago and they have no dinner buffet anymore. eating was still as good as before.
A great lunch buffet. fresh, hot, delicious! the paneer masala was amazing! the chicken tikka masala, the rice and naan brot. all delicious. the fish pakora and vegetarian samosas also top notch! highly recommended. fragrant with spices and aromas of india.
