Boile... read more There is no menu because it is not necessary. They serve only 3 items: octopus, skirt steaks and cheese. We didn’t have cheese but the other 2 were great. Boiled octopus cut to pieces. Drizzled some olive oil and a sprinkle of paprika then popped into your mouth with a toothpick. Excellent. Grilled Skirt steak was very thin so all came well done. Tasty especially with a glass of cold beer. 2 beers and 2 entrees came to 25 Euros. Expect a wait line to get in.

I ended up here after my taxi... read more The philosophy here is do a few things, and do them right. This place only offers a few dishes and it focuses on pulpo (octopus). I ended up here after my taxi driver recommended it for the pulpo. The Galician style pulpo is simple (they steam it and they sprinkle it with salt, paprika and olive oil) but very tasty. As soon as you enter, you are served with a basket of one of the best breads that you have ever tasted. This was a good start to my Camino de Santiago hike.

But my, oh my the pulpo they served was very soft, very authentic enhanced by the olive oil, paprika and salt. No wonder it has been recommended by many people. I also like the wine mixed with a little soda (or was it tonic water).

There is no menu, they have a very small selection, but lets face it, when you go to a place called pulperia you want to eat squid. And the squid they made was heaven earth. Shortly sauteed, cut apart, salted, peppered and served. I loved every single bite! Definitely go there. Food is reasonably priced (my food and drinks came to less than 14 € . Careful: The place is only open during the day
