Bridges - Sarnia
Bridges
Description
Bridges restaurant, located in a Holiday Inn, offers a mix of experiences based on recent customer reviews. While some found the food to be bland and the service slow, others raved about the flourless chocolate cake and Freighter burger. The menu was criticized for lacking variety, but omelettes, crepes, and Shepherd's Pie received praise. Despite some hiccups, the restaurant maintains a nice atmosphere and reasonable prices, making it a popular option for brunch and special events. Overall, the experience seems to vary, but many agree that Bridges has potential to deliver a memorable dining experience.

Ate here because I arrived late to the hotel and didn't feel like going out. I had the Penne Bolognese. It was OK, if a bit bland - nothing special. The garlic bread on the side was cold but they replaced it when I mentioned it.
Went to restaurant for light dinner and had a choice of sandwich or dinner menu. My husband had Shepherd's Pie which was very good, and I had fish tacos - crispy coated pickerel and shrimp....yummy
Best Food and Service. Never disappointed even when it's years between visits. Wouldn't miss the opportunity to have dinner here. It's in a Holiday Inn! That chef and team belong in 5 star big city establishment.
I was empty of all positive reviews, how many seemed dated. this hidden gem proved to be a bit of a lob. my partner and I had both fishtaks as an appetizer, then a escape of darkened fresh walleye. both were shy. the walleye. came with sides of perfectly boiled brokkoli, paprika, carrots and asparagus. the generous part of the walleys was served on a bed rice. there were several hearty mushes, in a thick tomato sauce, on the side. both the tacos and walleye contained a little spicy heat, although not exaggerated; were so generous, we could have shared a deer or forgone the delicious appies. previous reviews are spot on; this bistro puts his humble home with much more than one would expect a hotel restaurant.
