We e... read more Came in pretty close to closing and they sat us and provided us with excellent and fast service. Very welcoming and the food was super flavorful and fresh. We even overheard another customer on our way in say they just came back from Hawaii and ate only sushi but nothing compared to the sushi here at Utamaro.

Although the fish was fresh, the quality was much to be desired. The rice I had on my Chirashi bowl had chlorine taste, salmon pieces were separating and falling apart, tuna cuts were oddly shaped. Definitely the people making it were not well trained on proper way of preparation. Those in my party who ordered rolls couldn't appreciate the nuances of the quality of the fish hidden in them. Disappointed at best! If I ever decide to come back, I may try Ramen, but I'll be looking for some place different to explore.

We were seated quickly and service was quic... read more I went there with my wife on a Sunday afternoon for early dinner, and there’s only two couples in there ahead of us. We were seated quickly and service was quick and friendly. I tried to specialty roles the samurai and the Manhattan, and they were very fresh and had excellent flavor. My wife tried the black pepper shrimp, which had a very peppery flavor with the vegetables and the rice but the shrimp only had a a mild flavor and not very peppery. It came with a miso soup, which was OK and a salad with ginger dressing. Street side parking was free on a Sunday, but they use an app for parking Monday through Saturday. Highly recommend this restaurant.
