I went there again and this time had a different server, I told him what happened the first time (I asked for a vegan acarajé to-go, and when I opened the box later, it was the regular version will all the shrimp). This time we ordered the vegan acarajés, we got it, and they were great. I would go there again, but I'd be very very sure that the server noted it's the vegan version, and I wouldn't get a to-go box without looking inside before leaving. They also have other vegan dishes on a dedicated part of their menu. Updated from previous review on 2023-08-21

In the end food was not good at all we couldn’t even finish them while feeling really hungry. We came to try vegan dish they made but it turned out to be really a horrible choice in the end cost us an afternoon and a spoiled appetite. There are plenty of vegan restaurants in the neighborhood so I strongly recommend to try another one!
