Bar Dona Onca - São Paulo

Brazilian cuisine is very diverse. It is quite impossible to define a dish which will represent all Brazilians together.Sao Paulo is huge, you will realise that and most of you that travel to Brazil will not spare more than a week (when that much) to the city of Sao Paulo. So in this case I have to helping you decide how you will spend your priceless time here.When we choose a restaurant normally we expect a good food but if does not come with good approach and organised team all gastronomic experience is lost.Bar Dona Onça is a oasis in Sao Paulo when it comes to Brazilian food (I guess it is all about brazilian food there). Their menu is sophisticated, flavourful, with skilled waiters and bar men. The atmosphere could not be more approaching... I love natural light into indoors places and this restaurant has huge glass windows that gives you enough light to see how marvellously colourful your dish is. The ambient music is adorable. The place is not big, but for me it gives me cosy touch and it is fabulous being there.It is not expensive but good work and good team never comes for free so the price is fair in my opinion.It is success guaranteed. Lucas was the best server. He recommended us good things in the menu and spoke good English. We came in confused and he immediately was very nice to my friend and I. To start, we had the cohinxta(so? with meat and potatoes inside. So lovely....For entree, we had the langonista ravioli and the chicken gizzard stew which were fantastic. For the dessert, we had the ‘power of 3’, which was perfect bc my friend wanted the flan type dessert, I had the coconut and egg yolk one and she had the chocolate. The price was a bit expensive for Brazil but honestly sooooo cheap and affordable for back home. Great experience. Oh and the tangerine and passionfruit caipirinhas were strong and excellent.

Rose was amazing and made us feel very welcome. Food and decor were great too. Highly recommend this restaurant! Will definitely come back.
