Heaps of food made with homestyle cooking style and reasonably priced. Will visit in the future. Try it if you love Persian and Mediterranean food. Lots of traditional items to choose from View all feedback.
What Jackie B doesn't like about Darya Grill:
I wish i could rate higher, the first time i door dashed i was missing an item but i let it pass even though i didnt get all of what i paid for. Second time i door dashed i again was missing the same item, they were kind enough to credit it back so kudos on that, however i threw the chicken kabob away, as it was so overly salted i couldn't eat it. Im sorry to say i wont be ordering again from here. I wish them luck.. View all feedback.
This place is bursting with flavor! During my visit, I ordered the combo plate featuring rice, chicken tikka, and beef kabob, and everything was fantastic. The portions were generous, and I found myself full but unable to stop eating because it was just so delicious. They also have a great selection of beers, which always enhances the experience. When I entered Darya Grill, I wasn't sure what to expect, but the customer service was incredibly warm and welcoming. I've dined at many Mediterranean restaurants, and this one offered much better prices than the others. I can't wait to return and try the Gyro Sandwich! Give it a try—you won't be disappointed!
This place is amazing. I ordered the beef and chicken combo. The beef was very good, but the chicken was absolutely amazing. The chicken was tender and juicy. At many other places the meat, especially chicken, are very dry. Give this place a try, and I recommend ordering the beef and chicken combo plate.
I hate like hell to have to write this review, but I feel compelled to let fellow Santee residents and the proprietor about my experience on 10/17/20. I have been ordering/eating-in at this local eatery since they opened, a couple times a month. Anyway, the round kid(male) working there always asks if I want to add a tip on a pick-up--I'm old-fashioned and I don't want to tip anyone when I collect my carry-out order. Anyway, yesterday, the kid in question decided to tip himself without my permission. He rang $1.23 up and asked for my signature--I asked why and he said he needed it as he accidentally rang $1.23 and my signature would void the transaction. He then rang me up for my food purchase. BTW, I dropped $1.00 in change in his jar, and he witnessed it. Well, I went home and looked at my card statement online and discovered the $1.23 was still on the card--it's not about the piddling amount; it's about deception, and I want his mommy and daddy to know I will no longer patronize their restaurant for his willful dishonesty.
Darya Grill is a great place for Mediterranean food. Their gyro is very good and their other dinner dishes are very good as well. Service has always been good and they are always very friendly and polite. You get a lot of food for the price. It's always a great place for something different.
We picked up dinner recently and it was so good! Huge portions, plenty for lunch the next day. Koobideh, chicken, rice all of it was delicious. We will definitely be back!
