Heard so much about this small local restaurant. We gave it a try. Very disappointed. Decor is very different with old and new family photos on the walls. Scones we 're very large and very dry. Food all around the table was not great. Steak was orderedmedium and way over done. Mashed potatoes were watery and tasted very processed . Stuffing was dry, almost crumbling under ourforks. Roast beef and country fried steak were underseasoned and just not good. Everything was covered in a brown thickflavorless gravy. We ate because we were hungry, not because it was good. If the quality of food coming out of the kitchen wasmore like good ole country cooking like they advertise I wouldn 't mind paying $14.99 for a plate. We will not be going back.

Ambiance was nice and homey, but.... We got there for breakfast and my daughter noticed a ton a ants walking around on floor, we we're the first one there and they were already out of OJ. Food was mediocre at best, later that evening my daughter seems tohave gotten food poisoning. I DO NOT recommend.

Great service! Really good food! The waitress couldn't have been more sweet! I over heard they had a new cook. I ordered chicken strips and a scone. I was extremely impressed! The chicken was perfect as well as the fries. I definitely will return I wasreally impressed

The food was good. Everything is large here. Pancakes are the biggest pancakes I have ever seen. Very thick as well. I ordered the Grand Slam which I believe the name was stolen from Denny's? Anyway, all of the food was good. The establishment itself isin disrepair and needs an overhaul. Probably need knocked down and rebuilt. It was very dead at lunch time. This shocked meafter reading the history of this place and hearing word of mouth how good this place is. Maybe it is time for an overhaul, keepthe same great food and fill that place up again. Waitress was very sweet. Very accommodating.

A charming spot full of history. Although they say it’s haunted, we didn’t experience anything spooky (which was a bit disappointing). The kids enjoyed themselves, and the food was delicious. The scones are definitely the highlight—I could come back every day just for those. If you’re looking for a unique place to visit and grab a bite, this is a great option.
