Urth Caffe - Santa Monica

Just a short walk away from the hustle and bustle of downtown Santa Monica, Urth Caffe is an oasis of real and healthy food in an area where food processing is the norm. I stopped by Urth for breakfast one morning and ordered everything to go as I was in a hurry. I got a regular coffee (the best coffee I've had in California so far) and can't exactly remember the name of the breakfast, but it essentially consisted of two poached eggs on a bed of fresh vegetables, garnish, and two slices of toasted whole grain bread. It was fresh and light, yet satisfying... exactly what I was looking for after indulging the night before at Bubba Gump. I wish I had time to come back for lunch, the menu looked spectacular!

Urth Cafe is a Los Angeles favorite! It's a perfect spot to visit with both vegans and non-vegans, as they offer plenty of options for both dietary preferences.

The pumpkin pie was delicious and the coffee was great, but my favorite part was the atmosphere. The restaurant is spacious with plenty of seating options. I was able to sit and read my book for over an hour without feeling rushed to leave.

I had the sprout sandwich. So good! Sub almond cheese for the Jarlsberg cheese.

Super delicious Vegan Portobello Panini. They have Oat milk and vegan desserts. Limited vegan options- but super tasty options- vegan almond cheese vegan pesto. Biggest downside was the super long wait.
